What I liked

I had no problem with this hospital. I spent 8 days in Preston Royal and 3 days at Blackburn. The staff did everything expected, although some nurses were not interested in patient interaction. I showed respect and got it back. There seemed to be too few staff on at times, so cut-backs were definitely evident. However, i was well treated and have no complaints whatsoever.

What could be improved

More nurses and doctors. It was sad to see some patients not receiving adequate care.

Anything else?

I am suffering from a lung disease, and require a lung transplant. I am on immunosuppresants, to halt my natural immune system. Yet in the room i was in, one patient was suffering with Pneumonia, and one with a chest infection. Either of these could cause me severe problems. Whoever placed me on this ward was obviously not fully aware of the possible consequences.
