I had a water birth here and unfortunately suffered post partum haemorrhaging. The treatment received from the outset was fantastic. The ward was very busy when we arrived therefore my midwife did have to leave me quite a lot during first stage labour, however the midwife remained there and supportive throughout the active stage and when I haemorrhaged multiple staff members came in an instant to sort me out. I have nothing bad to say about any of the treatment and felt that the post op care (I ended up having a spinal anaesthetic for stitches) was fantastic with the midwives being very reactive to the 'bell'. The pain relief protocol must be great as I had no breakthrough pain during stitching or after the spinal block wore off. I needed only ibuprofen from that point on and the doctor did a great job on my stitches. Lovely team. Keep up the good work as it is very much appreciated as these birth experiences will be remembered a lifetime by mums.
