"Was Dreading it"

About: Airedale General Hospital

Just wanted to write in and say thank you to all the nurses and staff at Airedale Hospital.

I went in friday 13th October for gallbladder surgery and was so nervous and scared as I've never had a big op before.

From me getting there I was treated with dignity, reassurance, smiles and such lovely staff members.

The part I was in was Zone B, B16.

My surgery went ahead in a timely manner and I was back on the ward before I knew it. I was so relieved and probably nattered everybody to death as I was so glad it was all over with.

I felt so at ease with the nurses, never met any so nice before, all of them were wonderful and so kind. In fact I wanted to stay a bit longer to chat with them.

My surgery went well and would like to say thanks to the Anaesthetist, the surgeon, the other staff who helped me on the trolley and the recovery room staff too.

Many thanks for sharing your positive experience.

We are very pleased that you all felt so supported and that you received good care and treatment.

Your comments have been shared with Ward 20, Anaesthetist and the surgeon.
