"Thank you."

About: Rosie Hospital

I want to thank the midwife and surgeons who delivered my baby.

Mu midwife was excellent, attentive, supportive with excellent knowledge. They had asked the midwife to change rooms and a less experienced midwife (I know this by the questions the new midwife asked my original midwife). I asked the midwife to, stay with me as I was aware there was a possibility I could end up having a emergency c-section. Thankfully they stayed with me even until after what ended up being a complicated c-section and well after their shift had finished.

The surgeons were excellent. Very skilled and knowledgeable team who dealt with my c-secrtion complications professionally and skillfully. I can't thank them enough for bringing my baby in to the world safely and taking such good care of me.

The observation maternity ward were excellent. As was lady Mary ward. Staff were polite and attentive. They gave excellent advice on breastfeeding.

My only I complaint is that I needed to insist to be given additional pain relief which after discussion with a doctor was agreed. However each time I requested pain relief I was sometimes made to feel I shouldn't need to take it, even after being told to take what I felt I needed to help my mobility.

The midwives were all knowledgeable and supportive. They were happy to answer questions and were kind and caring throughout my almost week long stay.

The food was good with a nice variety to choose fromi would recommend the Rosie and I will be forever greatful. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope you and baby are doing well at home. It is really good to hear that the majority of staff were safe, kind and excellent throughout your time at the Rosie Hospital. We are concerned about your feedback regarding your pain medication and how this made you feel. Should you wish to discuss this further please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on the below contact details and they will be able to assist you. Please be reassured this will not detract from your positive experience, but will help as unsure patients do not feel this way when requesting their prescribed medication
