"CT results"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

GP called out to my mother on Wednesday last week, water sample sent to hospital on Thursday and results back Friday (fast), to which it was requested my mother go for a ct scan regarding kidney problems that night on the Friday.

She is very sick and I am told they must wait up to 7 days after scan before we are able to chase up for results.

This is very disturbing and frightening considering they is very sick and the necessary people need to prioritize patients and getting results back to GP as a matter of urgency.

Heartbreaking to see them so ill and nothing I can do nor the GP as they are unable to expedite the results too.

If necessary 999 is only next port of call ...gggrrr

I am sorry to read your comments regarding the results of your Mother's CT Scan. If you have not already done so, I would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01782 676451 or via email to patientadvice.uhnm@nhs.net to provide further details. The PALS team will be very happy to help obtain the results for you if they have not yet been received.

With kindest regards

Rebecca Pilling, Quality Improvement Facilitator: Patient Experience.
