I recently had surgery at this Hospital. The Surgery itself may well have gone to plan, but 2 weeks later I still have not received my Discharge letter or sick note. I spoke to the Ward Clerk after a week to see where they where, they asked me what my procedure was , when I replied they 'corrected' and named it as a slightly more serious procedure. Two weeks later I needed to see my GP as I am suffering some severe pain, no idea if it is related to surgery, or may be something new My GP was unable to assist me, as they had not received the discharge letter, nor could they access xrays etc.The pain I am in is severe. I contacted the ward again afterwards and they have assured me that it will be written and sent. Clearly not first class as I am still sat here waiting.
Also on the ward there was an elderly lady, confined to her bed ( I am intentionally leaving out names or what she was suffering from) . She was unable to move.. For the three days I was there, she was rarely offered/ given water unless it was from a visitor or myself. Food was offered maybe one or twice again by staff, otherwise it was from visitors. She had no drip. A nurse once asked her to drink more as her urine from the catheter was dark. For two days, I would say she barely passed anything. While the staff where great for me, they where I believe negligent towards her.
