"Staff are amazing!"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Maternity

I have given birth here twice - in August 2013 and November 2016. Both times the maternity unit was very, very busy. Both times, the labour was not straightforward and I needed emergency interventions. All of the staff - the doctors, midwives, healthcare assistants, cleaners, security - were absolutely lovely and worked together really well, especially when things weren't going to plan. They made sure that what could have been quite traumatic was a good birth and that I had a good start with both babies. Thank you

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words. We are pleased to hear that, despite the emergency interventions, you have had positive birth experiences with both of your children and are grateful that you have taken the time to share this with us.

We are working very hard at making each woman’s birth experience special, and recognise that this can only be achieved through working well together and making sure that the care preferences of each woman are known to all staff providing care.

kind regards

Head of Midwifery,
Queen Elizabeth Hospital
