"Disappointing"

About: Chiddenbrook Surgery

Some of the GPs are good but it is very difficult to get any continuity of care due to lack of full time doctors, meaning it is very hard to get appointments to see the same GP for follow up with ongoing illness.

Regularly have to wait over an hour in waiting room (waited 80 minutes for last appointment).

Often standing room only in waiting room.

Nearly always a queue at the desk to speak to reception, everyone in the waiting room can hear what is said at reception.

Usually a queue for the one toilet for patients waiting.

Car park is completely inadequate with people forced to park double banked outside the pharmacy, in neighbouring residential streets or outside a primary school.

No indication of delay or position in queue on patient login screen.

Numerous mistakes with repeat prescriptions being sent to the wrong pharmacy and prescriptions left at the front desk that the doctor has forgotten to sign.

No child health clinic or attached health visitor.

I'm sorry you felt our service was not up to your expectations. We take all feedback very seriously and it would really help us to investigate the problems you encountered if you contact the surgery directly. I am aware that our patients sometimes have to wait to see a Doctor and that is something we are working on, but we are above the local and national average on almost all other indicators in the GP Patient Survey.
