"Nurses & Surgery in general"

Firstly, the recptionists, whom do a good job under pressure and with a constant flow of patients. But would their workload not be eased and telephones answered more quickly if the was someone whom just took calls? I've been on hold for upto 15 mins, then cut off, very frustrating.

Appointment timings, used to be a bit of a horror, but have got a lot better recently and you are see within a few minutes of your alloted time, the odd occasion might be 20 mins late. that could be down to an elderly person having to go to the far reaches of the surgery.

I don't understand why as a diabetic i cannot make an appointment for my next blood test and review, when i leave the last review, i.e. 3 months in advance.

The doctors operate a triage system and may call you back which is good.

Appointment texts are great.

My biggest praise goes to the surgery and nurses in particular, in their diabetic policy.

As soon as it was spotted i may be diabetic, doctors phoned, appointments made, litreture provided, and made aware of support/education programmes.

When talking to other diabetics, they hadn't recieved half the support i had.

Well done.
