"end of life care"

About: Lister Hospital

End of life care for our relative was rushed and uncaring. we were not offered support, a chaplain, bereavement officer or side room to stay with our relative. The consultant gave us the shocking diagnosis that our relative had a few hours to live and then ran away.

We’re very sorry that this was your experience as our intensive care team normally has a very good reputation when it comes to supporting patients and their families facing end-of-life situations.

We are certain that the service’s senior doctors and nurses would want to investigate what happened - if you are willing for that to happen, please just email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net - we hope that you do get in touch, but if not please accept our apologies for your poor experience.
