About: Ipswich Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was directed to a&e from my gp as has a bad cut across my upper lip. The staff were helpful and I was impressed by their calm coordination with triage.

I was treated by an excellent doctor, who was calm and humorous. The doctor proactively dealt with my injury and I was sent away. We are so fortunate to have this service, it's a shame my wait was delayed by many who felt it is a drop in service for aches and pains!

I had to sit behind two who were grumbling about a sore foot, the other just felt a little poorly! There needs to be a more efficient filter to send these time wasters away! They are clogging the system and need educating they are doing so. Even the doctor said I was the first person I really needed to see that day!

Still a great service, thanks.

It is great to hear when a patient has had a good experience in the Hospital, I will make sure that the team in A&E get to see your kind words. We are looking at ways of reducing the strain on A&E with signposting to other organisations and have recently opened up a GP streaming service next to A&E to reduce the burden. Many thanks
