"Severe fall-15th October 2017"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency

I’m 72 and whilst running along a pavement lost my balance and plunged into the road with bruises, bang to my head and wrist.

It was felt advisable to seek advice from the A&E at the QMC.

I was seen very quickly for my Blood Pressure, which was fine, but told I might need a further examination and a possible X-ray with the waiting being approx. 3 hours

Within two hours I was seen by two more medical staff, the latter checking me over to see whether there were any effects from my head bang and swollen wrist.

Nothing seemed untoward and I felt a little uneasy at taking up the time of the Medical Staff, considering there were obviously many people needing far more serious attention than I, which I relayed to the ‘nurse’.

I would just like to say therefore that considering the extreme pressure all the medical staff were under their patience and professionalism was first rate and could not fault them; so well done QMC

N.b. I was just visiting Toton at the time, from Pelsall, Walsall

Regards

(Mr) D S Caine
