"Awful, avoid"

I visited this GP many times over 2 years of living locally for a number of issues from routine asthma checks to serious chest infections.

Their reception staff are terrible. No customer service, rarely answer the phone (I have at times used two phones to call them non stop until someone answers - longest wait time was 40minutes). It is as though they don't look at the switchboard. In person, you can easily stand and wait for 10 minutes while they sit on the computer and talk to their friends on the phone or in the office behind them. Of the front of house team, I have only ever seen one person who actually comes out and puts the patient first.

Regarding the medical staff, their quality hugely varies from doctors who google conditions and tell you what you already checked out yourself (e.g a chesty cough, hmm that could be related to a common cold - yes I know that, I've got a history of infections and sinusitis in that area, I think it is that, not a cold), to doctors who are credible and highly experienced.

It is as though this gp is a training ground for wannabe doctors and there are a few strong / experienced people dropped in to try and raise the bar.

Avoid this surgery if at all possible. I would like to think they will read this, but I very much doubt they will take any action until they are forced to.
