"Care as an inpatient on Ward 1. Surgical"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

I was admitted via A and E to ward 1 with pneumonia on 26 September 2017. I spent 6 days on the ward. As part of my daily care I am tube fed. The care in every aspect was extremely good from all the team, doctors, nurses, carers, and the ward was clean and efficiently run. My tube care was efficiently done day and night. The 6 bedded ward was bright and very roomy. The pharmacist saw me before my discharge and recommended various changes to my medication and to see my GP on return home.

Last but not least a volunteer on the ward assisted myself and my wife with equipment and bags to the car.

This saved my wife doing two trips.

One cannot ask for anymore from a team of very busy staff. Thank you!

Hi Alan - great to hear you were also so pleased with your care on Ward 6. It's very kind of you to take the time to leave compliments for each team and department - we will ensure your comments are fed back to them. Hope you have made a swift recovery.
