My daughter recently visited Darlington urgent care walk in centre with granted a fairly mundane urine infection which she was unable to visit her doctor as it was a Sunday and after having tried to previously book an appointment was told she would have to wait untill later in week. She is very rarely ill so this was unusual for her to need to see a practitioner. She was given 3 days antibiotics and sent on her way. She stated the whole experience was quite humiliating and she felt let down and made to feel like a time waster. The staff who attended to her showed very little lack of respect and/or empathy. We all understand the nhs is overstretched but a little common courtesy and professionalism costs nothing. I myself work for the nhs and if I were to treat a patient with so little human decency that she experienced I would be disgusted with myself.
"unfriendly staff"
