About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Ear, Nose and Throat

Once again I have had the misfortune to visit the LRI. 18months ago I waited for 6hrs in the emergency eye dept without being seen, had to go home & see my Dr & get a referral to Burton Hospital.

5 months ago I attended A&E & was there for around 8hrs without proper diagnosis or treatment.

Today I had an appointment 1:45 ENT only to be told that I might not be seen before 17:00! This hospital is not fit for purpose & the people of Leicester & Leicestershire deserve better.

I attended my appointment in good time. There is little or no hospital parking & so you have no choice but to park some way away from the hospital in a private car park. Does the hospital expect sick & infirm patients to sit around for hours on end and to run the risk of being clamped for clinics not running on time?

I am now in the situation whereby I will have to go back to my GP and be referred to another hospital having already waited weeks for this appointment.

Patients deserve better.
