"care not good at all"

About: Birmingham Women's Hospital

I had my baby 14th August with my first baby and I had a cut down below and had Stitches down below.. I told one midwife who working there I'm scared to go number 2 because of my Stitches will be broken and they told me don't worry that won't happen unlikely and had bad time there! I went back and Said I need more Stitches and another member odf staff said oh its just a blood clot it will heal in no time and then went back again and find my cut got works! Another person came and said oh its " healthy" . few days after I find my self in pain and gone women's hospital for test and they claim it was "normal" lying to me!! Now yesterday I had 2 letter from nhs saying I have Infection and now I'm worried because i need treatment

Because

I was not taken seriously and that's not nice when someone is in so much pain

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience.

I am so sorry to hear that have developed an infection and that you did not feel like you were listened to. This cannot have been easy for you with a new baby. I would really encourage you to contact us on pals@bwnft.nhs.uk or 0121 623 2747 as I think it is important for you to talk to our consultant midwife so she can advise you on the right care and treatment and she can arrange for you to have an appointment at our Perineal Care Clinic.

We hope to hear from you very soon about your care and any further questions you might have.
