"Ward 1 medicine lost and not explained anything..."

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

I eas on ward 1 after coming in to a&e for chest pain. I alod bought my medication. I was sent for xray and sent straight to ward 1 as my ecg was abnormal.

I told the nurse on ward 1 that my medication was left in a&e and they said they will give them a call.

Following morning i wasnt given any og my medication as doctor didn’t prescribe me with any and no sign of my medication asked again and said they will check. Then doctor come to explain that another ecg will be done again. Then explained second ecg was abnormal no explanation given to why it was like that but been discharged home. Cannot believe how my medications went missing

Hello, thank you for letting us know about this. I am sorry to hear that you experienced these problems with your care, and we would really like to talk to you in person so we can deal with these.

We understand how important it is to have a clear explanation of what is wrong and what will happen next, and I will be happy to make sure you receive those if you get in touch. I will also ask the staff in charge of the ward to investigate this thoroughly.

Could you please give me a call on 01274 383863 ( Mon-Fri) or email me on patient.experience@bthft.nhs.uk

If you call and I am not at my desk please leave me your name and number to call you back on, and I will do that as soon as I get your message.

I am sorry for the worry and distress this must have caused you and I hope to hear from you soon.
