Due to three rough years, I finally broke and could no longer cope with day to day life and looking after my young daughter. I felt helpless and that she'd be better off without me. I had several dark thoughts.
Through my local GP I was referred to the mental health crisis team and the Borders General Hospital. Within hours I had a phone call and was given an appointment the next day. With regular home visits and telephone calls I was discharged from the crisis team.
I can't thank the guys enough for the support they gave me. Listening to me and understanding how I was feeling. From giving advice on how to deal with situation and relaxing techniques to prescribing suitable meds to help "level" me out as my current ones failed to work.
It's down to this Fantastic team I'm still here and rebuilding my life day by day. I will forever be grateful.
