"re my vist and problems with parking"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

The hospital it self was fine and I received good treatment for a dental problem. The reason I am posting is about the appalling parking system used at this hospital. I paid for an hour and left within the allotted time yet still received a parking fine of £70. I had luckily kept my ticket and was able to prove that I had legally parked.

The excuse they gave was that they had got the wrong car ha ha even though they had sent me a picture of my car with the number plate clearly visible. Disgraceful really and would it not be better to have pay on exit parking?

I have actually cancelled my follow up appointment because of this

I'm sorry to hear that you had an issue with parking. Was this within the trust car park? We do operate a system where if you park within one of the hospital car parks you can pay either when you arrive, or when you leave as it's a vehicle registration recognition system. We would be happy to look into this further for you. Please contact our Help and Advice Service on:
