"They put all participants of the service at its centre."

About: Borders General Hospital / Borders Macmillan Centre

(as a relative),

The care we (predominately my wife) have received from the Borders MacMillan Cancer Centre has been first class.

Being made to feel the only ones in the staff's attention although the unit is full is not an easy skill, but they all achieve this consistently.

There is obviously a strong teamwork ethic, and in a health care system that is frequently driven by targets and staff shortages they put all participants of the  service at its centre.
The plans to extend the service look impressive and are indeed desperately needed ... however, services are not judged by bricks and mortar they are dependent on the qualities of the staff, which we have found to be first class.
Thank you.

Dear Campo Verde

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your positive experience. I have personally passed this on to the staff who were delighted to hear that you and your wife felt like this during your time with us. Its good to know that despite all the biz you felt both you and your wife were well cared for.

Its important for us to hear positive feedback, not just to boost the moral of the team, but so we can continue to work towards doing what feels right for patients and families all of the time.

Thanks again for taking time to share your experience
