"The midwives are friendly and professional"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Maternity

I was booked in for an induction in October. Although things didn't happen as quickly as I thought and nobody really educated me about the process I still have to say that all the midwives I have come across during my maternity in FAU and the labour ward have been awesome. My birth experience had been brilliant. I had an induction in 2005 and it terrified me to know I will have another induction. Well, I can say now that I am no longer scared. The midwive who delivered me discussed a detailed plan with me and my partner and was genuinely interested in giving me the best experience possible. The midwife was a gem and very supportive. Advised me but left all choices to us. Couldn't be happier! Would totally recommend. And did I mention, I am a nurse myself and wish that some of my colleagues would be as professional as the staff I came across with.
