"It was fine"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Despite being misgendered, which is understandable given circumstance as a trans male seeking advice for female based health, I had an overall perfectly fine experience. I didn't mind the waiting time as I was aware that as a free clinic offering free support there will be a lot of other patients and I may be there an extremely long time. The clinic and reception fast treated me with respect, they were inviting and lovely, and cant see why there would be complaint except for the waiting time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback through the NHS Choices website. We were very sorry to read that you were misgendered by the staff and for the distress that this may have caused. We would also like to apologise for the length of time you had to wait to be seen. We can assure you that this is a priority for the service and we are working hard to address this.

However, we were pleased to know that you still felt that your overall experience was good. We were also pleased to know that the clinic and staff treated you with respect, and that they were inviting and lovely. We will ensure that your feedback is passed on to the Service Manager so that it can be shared with the wider team.
