"My Son's Broken Collar Bone"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I visited East Surrey A&E Department on a Sunday afternoon a little while ago.  My Son had fallen off his bike and broken his collar bone.

The Department was busy, 59 people being served when we arrived.

We were assessed within 5 minutes of arrival and then had an x-ray within 15 minutes, we then saw a specialist within 3 1/2 hours.  We waited in a clean, warm and pleasant waiting area with toilet facilities and access to clean drinking water.  There was a cafe at the hospital providing hot drinks, food and snacks.

I think the service we received was excellent, I was very impressed, I really don't think a four hour wait when you just turn up at A&E is something to complain about.Well done xxxxx
