"Good care for new diabetic in Rotherham"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Diabetic medicine Rotherham PCT / Diabetes Education & Resource Centre

(as the patient),

One week ago I was admitted to Rotherham hospital, ill with my first ever experience of what turned out to be insulin dependent diabetes.

Today, I have been at home for 3 days and manage the injection and testing regimen myself.

My recovery and rapid return to independence could not have occured without care, training, guidance and support of the team, based at Diabetes and Education & resource center, Rotherham hospital.

They could not have done more to help me cope and manage this illness and I would like to thank them for all of their skilled and profesional help.

Thanks.

As part of my role, I support clinical services who undertake patient and public involvement on behalf of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust which helps us to develop or redesign our services with patients in mind, from the valuable feedback we are given.
