I was not help at all. I was not examined properly and then I was told that the earliest scan appointment at the epu was thursday!! expecting me to wait 5 dayss!!!! just rang northampton andthey said they'll scan me monday morning with my gp referral! I will never use milton keynes hospital again!!

Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry that you had a negative experience. If an appointment to attend EPAU is not available for over 48 hours, usual practice is that the patient is advised to call the nursing staff in EPAU to see if an earlier appointment can be arranged. We are sorry you were not given this advice.

It isn’t clear from your message who was trying to refer you, whether this was from within the hospital or your GP, however to help avoid a similar situation in future, we will review our communication to GPs and referring areas within the hospital to ensure they are clear on this guidance and process.
