Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding the Maternity Services at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.

I am very sorry that you feel that there was a lack of support and care and that patients’ are made to feel scared and anxious, as the staff in the Maternity Unit work very hard to ensure that patients are comfortable and are looked after.

This is not how the Senior Team for the Unit would wish the patient’s to be feeling, especially following a C-section.

If you would be willing to provide further details of the particular ward, together with your name, address and date of birth, as a Trust, we would welcome the opportunity to review your care.

You can do this by contacting a member of the Patient Services Team on 0121 424 0808 or you can email your concerns to bhs-tr.Complaints-ConcernsandCompliments@nhs.net who can then take the necessary action.

If you do make contact, can I please ask to advise the staff that you are responding to your posting.

I shall forward your posting to the senior management team and ask that it is shared with the staff, so they are aware of your experience and make any necessary improvements.
