"The reception staff was not nice at all...."

About: Homerton University Hospital

What could be improved

The reception staff was not nice at all. I injured my right hand knuckle and was bleeding alot, obviously when I go to reception I am going to depend on them to put me in the right department where to go so while I was talking to her I told her the situation and had my hand held up high. She said to me put your hand down I don't want to see it and made a funny face. She was well rude. I asked her the waiting time and she said well look around and you are after all of those people. Anyway after 45 min I lost patience and went to her again and asked her is it going to be long, am bleeding quite alot and had shooting up pain, she said it's not down to me the nurse has to see you. I waited for 3 hours and then they took me in, no x ray and they couldn't stop the bleed, these are the exact words, we carnt stop the bleed. They left me in a room for me to stop the bleed myself :s After an hour I lost patience again and called one of the doctors, she said it should be fine now and shouldn't bleed, bandaged it and let me go.. 10 min after I left it's start bleeding again!

Now royal hospital was so good, reception staff were amazing, all doctors were kind. Didn't ask me to deal with it myself. First thin they did was an x ray, to see if there were any glass of fractured bones, and thn they didn't just bandage my hand but stitched it that's how the bleeding stopped.

I personally think that they should consider training the reception staff at hommerton hospital hackney because never mind the waiting time but what made it worse was the lady at reception. No etequite way of talking. No mannerism.
