"Car Parking"

About: Conquest Hospital / Diabetic medicine

On my visit today, tried to pay using the old round pound coin (all I had). The ticket machines seem to have been programmed to accept only the new coin as my old coins were rejected. Bit of a cheek really as the old coin is still legal tender and as such should still be accepted, up to the cut off day. Not amused as I had to faff about getting some new coins...and all this having waited to park for over 20 minutes and then paying what some would consider, a high price for just over an hour parking.

We're sorry that you were unable to use an old pound coin in our cark parking payment machine when you visited the Conquest hospital in October, and for the inconvenience this caused.

The machines are updated as near to the changeover date as possible, and as soon as they were re-programmed, a notification was placed on the machine to inform users that only new coins could be used.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience.
