"My First Experience of Private Healthcare"

I attended Circle Nottingham for a dermatology appointment (originally referred on the NHS to have some moles routinely checked), and returned as a private patient to have two moles on my face removed; this was due to the fact that the reason for removal was cosmetic.

My doctor was very understanding of my decision and could clearly see how nervous and frightened I was. Having lived with the moles for so many years and because of the location of them, it wasn't an easy decision to make. My doctor reassured me that, whilst scarring was apparent, it would not be as bad as my mind was telling me, and mentally I would feel much better for it.

I went to my appointment, so apprehensive and anxious, however I was immediately put at ease and the kindness of the assistant nurses and my doctor awed me. The procedure took less than 15 minutes and I was comforted and reassured throughout.

Now, four weeks on, I am due a check-up appointment and my 'scars' are healing better than I could've ever imagined.

I cannot praise the service enough and am even considering private GP appointments for future medical issues; so good that the centre was. I will also not hesitate to return to the dermatologist who treated me. All in all, a wonderful experience for a first time private patient.
