"level of care and patient confidentiality"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / Cardiology

I was admitted as an emergency to a&e, then taken to eau4 ward. The care was outstanding, staff were great. Moved to ccu to a mixed ward, didn't feel comfortable in a bay with two other men. moved to a side room for 2 hours then moved again to a bay with three other ladies. woken up at 2am to be moved again. found this unacceptable so left the ward and got my husband to pick me up. Staff didn't care, let me go. My mum picked up my meds the next day and discharge letter because in my anxious and distressed state i forgot them. when i looked through the letter i realised they had also given me the whole list of patients on the ward, all there hospital numbers and when they were admitted. I called the ward only to be told by an extremely rude and unhelpful nurse that there was nothing they could do and to shred the information. or to bring it in to them. The hospital is twelve miles away so i refused. i did make a complaint to pals and they did get back to me but only to protect their staff. All in all Addenbrookes ward K3 totally and utterly failed me and they don't seem to care about patient confidentiality.
