About: Northern General Hospital / Respiratory medicine

My husband John Phillips was in this ward as a patient from 25th August 2017 to 6th September 2017. Sadly he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease four days before admission. They were a bit apprehensive as he had not stopped in this hospital but the staff were absolutely wonderful on Brearley 4. I cannot praise them highly enough for their care, support and devotion, particularly one who was a lovely person, very dedicated to their job, a staff member who made us laugh and we looked forward to seeing them every day, and one who knew who how to make my husband's special gravy and if we couldn't get any vanilla yoghurts they always went hunting until they found one! The staff could not do enough for us and don't ever worry if you find that you have to go into this ward. You are in very good hands indeed. A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
