Staff helping you to understand your thoughts and feelings and supporting your family is a testament to their positively relentless efforts in maintaining high quality recovery focused care.

It is encouraging to hear that you enjoy the actiivities that are provided. I appreciate that you get frustrated when these activities are cancelled. Sadly this happens on those rare occasions when we have emergency out of grounds hospital escorts. This requires a large number of staff to escort the paitent. However our audits and quality assurance reports indicate that the number of cancelled activity sessions have reduced greatly due to front line staff, senior clinicians and managers all working together to maintain high standards of care and treatment.

In terms of the Hospital's overall staffing position, I can confirm that the hospital has throughout the last year deployed a successful recruitment strategy which has meant that we currently have only a small number of vacant posts. I'm sure you have seen new staff on the ward and/or perhaps have had the opportunity to be part of the staff recruiting panel.
