"Excellent care with birth centre staff and..."

I can not recommend enough the high standard of care I received with the Birth Centre team and Obstetric team at St Mary's Hospital.

I had planned for a natural birth at the Birth Centre, we received a comprehensive tour by the midwives who put us at ease about labour and the support available. The staff were friendly and accommodating during our visits. My baby was in transverse position so I was seen very regularly by the Birth Centre midwives whom reviewed the babies position and discussed the options for delivery. They were open, warm and sensitive to the advice they gave me, and they listened to my concerns and worries. Unfortunately, my baby did not turn successfully despite my best efforts and I was referred to the Consultant Obstetrician whom felt an elective section was best. The medical staff were professional, decisive and overall excellent. I was put at ease every step of the way. Communication between all the teams was fantastic and I had a wonderful experience with everyone at St Marys.

Thank you so much for all being so brilliant, such a wonderful environment for my baby to be born into.
