A nasty football injury resulted in a call to 999 on a very very wet and blustery Sunday morning. The call was answered promptly by someone in Glasgow. Trying to get across the exact location was tricky, indeed I was asked if the location was in Aberdeen. No it is not. I was told the ambulance would be with us shortly. 20 minutes later with a very cold and wet child lying on the wet grass, another call was made. And another and another and another.
One hour later the ambulance attended on a journey which should have taken 10 minutes from the Ambulance station.
This is unacceptable.
I have no confidence in the 999 call centre. It has left me feeling very angry and very very disappointed.
"Angry and disappointed"
