I was sent to A&E on Friday by my dentist as I have a nasty tooth abscess going on. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind on my visit. The nurse who did the assessment arranged a quick x-ray and got a doctor from the oral and maxilllofacial dept to treat me. On my way out, the nurse even asked how everything went! It's a small gesture but makes you really feel like they care about your wellbeing. The doctor who treated me, was incredibly patient and kind and dealt with the situation very skilfully. The doctor walked me through the procedure and treated me with respect and dignity. I'm terrified of needles and not good with pain so I was pretty much a cry-baby through the procedure but they gave me the time I needed to stay calm(ish) and get through it. Honestly, a massive shout out to the doctor! Also, the x-ray technician showed me my x-ray and explained what was on it which was pretty interesting and I appreciated it. The nurse who gave me the antibiotics after explained everything clearly and asked if I have any questions to make sure I was clear on everything.
Just a big thank you to all the staff as they made a quite unpleasant visit so much better just by being kind and caring!
