What I liked
the nurses and midwives seemed quite eficient at their jobs but were not in a position to do anything without a doctors say so.
on lawrence ward there was a midwife who did all she could to help my wife and it was appreciated.
the doctors on the other hand seemed few and far between and not much interested when they were there.
the day after my son was born my wife was sent home in very obvious pain and told to take paracetamol
the following day the area midwife took one look and sent her straight back to hospital where she was put on antibiotics and had to have a catheter fitted as she couldn't go to the toilet properly.
What could be improved
The doctors seemed few and far between and for the most part not much interested.
