"pre/post Prostatectomy care"

About: Bromley Healthcare Guy's Hospital Princess Royal University Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

This year I had a template biopsy @ Princes Royal Hospital Bromley. I was readmitted into PRUH with urine retention and fitted with a catheter and finally dicharged 6 weeks later.

Lauren and members of Bromley Healthcare monitored my homecare. I was diagnosed with Prostrate cancer@ the end of February and went to see Christian Brown Cancer specialist at Guys Hospital it was suggested that I undergo radical keyhole prostratectomy..

I had the operation in April and dischaged the same day back into the home care of Lauren and the Bromley Healthcare team making sure I had supplies of incontinence pads.

I was finally discharged by Guys Hospital in May. I Saw Christian who told me the operation was a success and wanted to see me for a blood test in October. I would like to thank Lauren and the team for my pre/post operation home care and the phone calls to check I was ok

Dear 'Papa'

I am delighted to read that the operation that you have had whilst under the care of Guys Hospital has been a success, and how lovely of you to take the time to post your appreciation for all that Lauren and the team at Bromley Healthcare have done to support your recovery.

I will ensure that Lauren and the team are made aware of your comments.

Wishing you all of the very best in the future.

With Kindest regards

Julie
