My GP was concerned that I may have a DVT and contacted QMC for an immediate appointment. By 1 30 on the same day, I was being seen by NEMSS who asked relevant questions, checked my general health, took bloods and set up an appointment with Ultrsound at 2 30 - they also provided me with a wheelchair as my mobility is limited and this enabled my husband to move me around easily. We returned to NEMSS where the results were checked and it was decided I needed to go to the DVT clinic and an appointment was made for 5 pm! It was decided that I should be given medication.
Everything was explained to me and I was provided with the necessary medication and follow up appointment, and a cup of tea, and on my way home by 6 30 - amazing! The friendly staff were extremely busy but dealt with us with care and professionalism. Thank you QMC.
