My husband attended the diuretic lounge in its temporary rooms at Wexham on the 30th August to the 1st September. The staff were very courteous and efficient and the experience in general went well. However there was only one disabled toilet next to the treatment room and the inevitable happened when my husband was three quarters of the way through his drip, the toilet was occupied and we had to go in search of another, equally, we couldn't find one in time.
We were rescued by a member of staff from Intensive care who was returning from a meeting. They escorted us to the Gents toilets got pads and wipes and stood guard while we sorted my husband out and was very kind. They weren't part of the department we were attending and didn't need to go as far as they did to help us We are so very grateful to them, they saved us a lot of embarrassment and we'd like to pass on again our thanks and alert their line management to their actions.
