"Completely ignored and mistreated."

My dad was admitted here following a breakdown. Regular checks were made but only as a head poked through the door. At one point he was laid crying on the floor in a room and was just checked off the paperwork as seen. Following him dicharging himself after given a voluntary section (without any real talking to him apart from a 1 hour ward round)..... Was given no follow up... His cpn When asked for help with housing and benefits ... Simply told him 'to look at homeless shelters and didnt do help with benefits'

Weeks go by with a steep decline and no contact. My dad has another breakdown.

Panicking for his safety... i ring the whiteleaf center and he is fobbed off with a next day appointment after tellimg us his cpn has left without any warning or update.

Bearing in mind he is suicidal at thie point i ring 111 who finally offered assistance.

4 hours and 25 mins we waited for a skype assessment. Only to be told he will still have to have the appoimtment tomorrow waste of time and travel.

The next day appointment he is offered a phonecall at 10am every day. Of which he is currently relying on and sitting by the phone... It is 11.20am and this is the first day of this plan.

He has been treated abysmally. Mental health treatment here is disgusting.
