"Exceptional Ward 11"

Ward 11 is simply a hidden gem!

An amazing department with exceptional staff! I have never met such a hard working, caring and fully professional team. Whilst conducting themselves professionally and with such hard work to do all staff took the extra time to get to know patients and family and made all of our experience as positive as possible creating a happy atmosphere, all staff are kind and friendly and utterly amazing.

After mum returned to Macclesfield hospital at the end of July after only managing 48 hours at home. She suffered another fall and as her condition changed and declined related to her brain tumour we once again arrived at Macclesfield hospital. With very little faith left in the NHS and especially in Macclesfield hospital to be honest! Instantly we were greeted by a different experience and were made to feel welcome and cared for too.

Mums care was exceptional. The doctors, nurses, tea staff and admin staff work tirelessly, yet always with a smile and buckets of personality and kindness.

The intermediate care team also maintained this level of incredible support, communication and care, the social worker, OT's and physios were all amazing and the level of care is set so high that it is consistent across the department. We simply can't thank you all enough, and will always be grateful.

All I can say is keep it up, you make such a difference, the best team ever!
