"Failure to answer any telephone."

About: North Middlesex Hospital / Cardiology

Hospital number NN0114583

I have in the past been unable to make a pre-arranged appointment and made a call to 0208 887 3612 to explain the position.

The answerphone invited me to leave a message, which I did, explaining that I could not make the appointment and asked for a return call.

No call was forthcoming and shortly after the appointment date I received a curt letter telling me that because I was wasting time, in failing to make the appointment that had been given to me, I was at risk of having my regular check-ups cancelled immediately.

I explained what had happened and was given another appointment. That was two years ago.

I have now been given another appointment - 14.10.2017 at noon, which I cannot make. I have left another answerphone message, but fear the worst.

Dear Mr. Naylor,

I am sorry to hear that you have had difficulties getting through to the Cardiology Department in the past but I understand that you were contacted by telephone on 28th September 2017 and that a new appointment has been arranged.

I hope everything goes smoothly with your appointment

Best wishes

Christopher Dinsdale

Deputy Divisional Director of Operations
