"private appointnment - late and cut short"

I have recenty attended the physio department for an assessment following a road traffic accident and then a follow up apointment to commence treatment . Whilst I understand that new IT systems have to be bought in I wonder how much user acceptance testing and training was carried out as it seems that at every point in the hospital process .ie boking treatment etc you are asking pateint to bare with you on the new system . That is fine but I dont expect my private appointment to be started 10 minutes late and finish on time some 20 minutes later , be charged the full price no doubt and then for most of the appointment I watch the poor physio struggle to find thier around way around the IT system/laptop and hence received just 5 minutes of treatment . Very disappointing, I have now moved my physio treatment else where, I cannot be taking time off work to watch your staff struggle with the new system at my expense and treatment time. Its very frustrating for patients and staff I expect .

I am writing to you to apologise for your recent visit to Ashtead Hospital and your experience with our physiotherapy department.

We have introduced a new electronic patient record system which is proving challenging in its infancy.

We have put further training in place for our staff to ensure this situation does not happen again.

If you could confirm who your physiotherapist was we can investigate further. If you would like to discuss your complaint in person or over the telephone please do not hesitate to contact our Clinical Director’s PA, Emma Perllman on 01372 221 881 to arrange this.
