"This young man has quite possibly saved my life"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Many years of agonising upper abdominal pain & severe vomiting. Until september this year didn't know what was cause.

Young Dr suggested a cause. Myself & my family looked into this further & the young doctor seems to be right. His handling of my situation was wonderful & very insightful. I would like to thank him personally from the bottom of my heart. I tried to cut down on what the doctor thought might be causing it but it happened again, since then I have stopped entirely & fingers crossed the abdominal pain & vomiting has ceased. This young man has quite possibly saved my life & would like him to know this. Big thanks to him.

Dear Ptsmith

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. It is wonderful to hear the impact the young doctor has had on your health and how well he handled your case. This feedback helps other doctors to see the outcome of a well conducted consultation with a genuine patient centred approach.

If you were able to remember the doctors name you could phone the Patient Affairs Manager on 01236 713065 and I would gladly share your feedback with them.
