My father was admitted after a fall. After tests it was discovered he had a urinary tract infection which was treated with IV antibiotics.
As a result of being alone my mother got a bit confused and was also admitted and given an 'MOT' to check she was ok to be at home alone.
I live down south and my sister lives in Spain so we weren't able to visit as much as we would have liked.
The staff on wards 55 and 42 kept us in the loop. We found them to be friendly, highly committed and compassionate to the patients' needs.
I feel totally happy that my parents received the best care possible under very trying conditions for the staff.
I was able to speak to the doctors on several occasions to find out what the future plans were for the way forward.
