I would like to thank all of the staff in Ward 5E for the fantastic care and attention my dad received during his stay in hospital.
Particular thanks to the young nurse who looked after him the days I visited with my mum. Helen - same name as my mum.
My mum and dad both have dementia and she always took the time to explain to them and me what was happening. I really appreciated this.
My mum and dad both said she was a 'lovely wee lassie, always smiling'
I noticed that the ward is very busy but she always made my parents feel at ease and was happy to stop and talk to them anytime.
It would be nice if she knew what a difference this made to us at a difficult time.
