"Rude and had no time at all for us"

About: Solihull Hospital / Neurology

We saw the main Neurology consultant a few months ago regarding my epilepsy. The consultant was so rude and when I asked if there was anything I could do to help me get better, they said "lead a boring life."

We left feeling upset and disheartened. Also before we even left the room, the consultant called in their secretary to get the next person in. Really awful behaviour and definitely wouldn't recommend the neurology department here.

Dear Patient,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments, following your appointment with a Neurologist at Solihull Hospital.

I am sorry to have read your comments regarding your patient experience and that you felt the Consultant was rude.

We certainly would not wish our patient’s to leave an appointment, feeling upset and disheartened.

If you would be willing to provide further details such as your name, date of birth and address, as a Trust, we would look into this matter.

You can do this by either contacting a member of the Patient Services Team on 0121 424 0808 (lines open 9am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday) or you can email your concerns to bhs-tr.Complaints-ConcernsandCompliments@nhs.net

I will forward your posting to the Senior Management team for Neurology, so that they aware of your posting.

Yours sincerely

Jenny Langham

Patient Services Officer
