I recently gave birth at Coventry Hospital, I found the midwife who delivered my baby very rude and continuously shouted at me whilst in labour. When baby was delivered and I was all stitched up the midwife left the room without a word. I was moved to the maternity ward where I stayed for 1 night and found the day staff lovely, but the night time staff were rude. I needed a pad for the bleeding (as I bled a lot and mine were small and needed a bigger pad). The nurse refused saying I should use my own and they are not there to let us have them whenever we want. I only got one after my partner dealt with them and they gave him one of the pads. The nurse even accused me of not feeding my baby!

I’ve just been made aware of your NHS Choices review and while I’m pleased you found our day staff to be lovely, I’m very sorry to read that you felt the midwife who was with you during labour and the night staff were rude to you.

I appreciate all feedback about our services, both positive and negative, as it helps me to better understand what is important to our mothers, and where we may need to make improvements.
