"Professional people whom we rely on"

About: Retford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

Last week and again this Friday I have to see a lady whom will remain nameless for physiotherapy treatment. She is great nice friendly and in her own right and a damned good professional! I wrote about her earlier in a previous message here!

Anyway when I went for treatment she did not have any x-rays to work from.. Today I made several calls to a certain hospital asking why no x-rays have been sent, it took 5 calls! ! AND I am the patient The lady now has the information but why do these People not speak to each other? why do they not make contact to all hospitals and departments? It comes to something when a patient has to do the follow up!

Dear professionals please learn to communicate with each other.. no matter where you are or your standing! The lady I am seeing now has the information to get my x-rays simple it may be but she has to contact her x-ray dependent and request them via something or site called! The IEP system! it is a good job I am patient and helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. It would be normal practice if a clinician requires an xray report or to see the images, that the clinician is responsible for obtaining this information and I am very sorry you have had this experience.

If you are happy to do so, we would like to get some more information to understand what happened and who referred you. If you are happy to do this please contact the Trust’s Patient Experience Team on Freephone 0800 028 8059 or by e-mail: dbth.pals.dbh@nhs.net

Regards

Gill
